As one of the leading UK contemporary art galleries, Red Rag Gallery is proud to play a small part in the ongoing creation and appreciation of contemporary British art. Since 2003, the gallery has continually promoted and supported contemporary art by showing a wide range of contemporary British art by living artists and sculptors, with all works sourced directly from the artists’ studios. Red Rag Gallery represents artists from all over the British Isles, from those with international standing to young and emerging artists who benefit from having their contemporary British art, sculpture and art prints promoted within an established and reputable environment.

Contemporary art varies enormously, its traditional definition being simply ‘art that has been, and continues to be, created during our lifetimes’. Contemporary British art is diverse; its various forms are representations of the artists’ individual interpretations, allowing for exploratory use of colour, materials and subject matter. Red Rag Gallery has consistently sought to include as wide-ranging and diverse a display of contemporary British art and sculpture as possible, from abstract to traditional and in a variety of different mediums.

Throughout the year, Red Rag contemporary art gallery prides itself on the presentation of outstanding examples of contemporary British art, paintings and sculptures in a welcoming, calm, modern and aesthetic setting at both our galleries in both Stow on the Wold and Bath. Throughout the year, we hold exhibitions that showcase either individual artists or a selection of our contemporary artists in a variety of stimulating and interesting themes. Red Rag welcomes all visitors and collectors of contemporary art at both our galleries or through our comprehensive website from where all our unique and contemporary British art can be both viewed and purchased.
