provided a recurrent theme in his contemporary paintings. Dack's paintings are mostly oils on canvas.
Pursuing maritime subjects takes Richard Dack to many British coastal locations, but it is invariably the quality of light that provides the major focus in his contemporary paintings. Dack is a member of the Royal West of England Art Academy in Bristol, Avon and Royal Society of Marine Artists.
In 'Jetties Walberswick' Richard Dack paints a peaceful scene. Small fishing boats are moored safely at Walberswick in Suffolk. It is a sheltered safe place for the boats. The jetties, seen here at low tide, are exposed, as is the reddish sand of the bay. The colour provides warmth in the painting which is reflected off the shallow tidal waters.
