'Evening Coast' shows Penwith Farm from another angle. This time the farm fades, like the day and the evening sky takes centre-stage. A dramatic blue sky sweeps around the blue coastline and contrasts with the strong yellow of the land.
The slanting brushstrokes used by John Piper in 'Evening Coast' lead our eye upwards and give a sense of the space and freedom of the Cornish coastline.
