George MUIR

Galloway in the south west of Scotland. His early childhood in Wanlockhead had a lasting influence on her and has provided a huge source of inspiration for her art.

Taking inspiration from her home and the Scottish coastline George Muir produces paintings full of life and carefully observed, or remembered, detail such as 'The Harbour Master's Den'. We observe ropes and old fishing nets strewn around in a fascinating mix of colour and shape as would surely have appealed just as much to the artist as a youngster growing up in Scotland .
