Emma Davis describes her work, 'My contemporary paintings are often personal. My moods and emotions about particular areas I'm painting, the strength of light and most importantly colour, influence the way that I work each day'
Use of contrast and texture are typical of Emma Davis' fresh and imaginative approach to landscape. In 'Lost' we see a landscape of contrasts all of which mesh to become one whole. Her skilful use of texture almost suggests a collage of embroidered fabric with both a decorative and tactile quality.
